After 3 years of searching Loque'nahak has been caught!

Ever since I started playing 5 years ago I wanted a “Loque’nahak” the rare spirit cat from “Sholazar Basin” in “Northrend” for my own. I started the hunt 3 years ago and regularly went out of my way to attempt the capture of this rare spirit beast.
However today, the first day I have played in 2 months I accidently found her while mining out in Sholazar. A very nice and unexpected surprise!

My character placing the rare “Loque'nahak” in a freezing trap to contain her before attempting the tame… then finding out you need “Beast Mastery Specialization” which I have as a secondary talent – thankfully!

Back from a break

Well as you should know by now I often take months away from playing World of Warcraft due to one reason or another, may it be financial or personal, does it really matter?
Well the point I am getting to is I'm back to playing World of Warcraft after approx. two months being away from the MMO.

As far as I can tell by looking at the latest patch notes nothing really new stands out and gameplay seems pretty much the same. I have picked up the game exactly from where I left off… that is farming spider’s silk, ores and doing random solo instances such as the undead side of Stratholme in Eastern Kingdoms to attempt the gain of the barrens mount – the name of which eludes me at this point in time.
There have been a lot of big PVP updates such as the inclusion of “rage of the firelands” or whatever its called, this doesn't interest me at all as I do not take part in any PVP on the game. I am a solo player, always have been, always will be.

Achievement: Ready, set, goat

The “Ready, set, goat” achievement is very easy to get. Simply go to “Fuselight” located in  Badlands and visit “Gina Gotgoods” and purchase a “Billy Goat Blaster DX” then go upto a “Billy Goat” and use the “Billy Goat Blaster DX” to push 12 “Billy Goats” off the cliffs within 1 minute.
Ready, set, goat
I completed this first time as there are lots of goats on the nearby cliff edges.

Rhia’s Child: Companion

While questing out in Badlands I was awarded an egg which was a type of trinket known as “Rhia’s Last Egg” when equipped it gives you a firey red dragon companion. Quite cool, useless but cool!

Deathwing sightings: Badlands

While questing for my “Badlands Quests” achievement (where you complete 35 quests in Badlands) I came across a couple of quests that involved Deathwing. So here are some Deathwing screenshots.

The day that Deathwing came (and then I punched him in the face)

I found this quest in Badlands really amusing, features an imaginative dwarf known as # the # and I hope you will also find this video amusing.

Winged Guardian: Obtained

Winged Guardian
Finally I have managed to obtain a Winged Guardian. This mount is only purchasable from the Blizzard store and at £17.00 I personally feel its a great mount to have. It looks awesome and the MountSpecial is very special indeed. I will be putting together a video of the Winged Guardian in action over the next couple of days which I hope you will enjoy!

WoW Macros: Smart aspect switch–Hunter Macro

I myself have some knowledge in basic coding, I do not claim to be a whizz at this stuff but I have the general understanding of what basic languages require and the structure of the context in which the functions are used.

So to make my life easier I wanted to make a quick macro to switch between two different hunter aspects. Simple you may think… this one is smart, it detects which aspect is already open and changes it to the other one… so

Smart Switch: Aspect of the Cheetah to Aspect of the Hawk and vice versa.

Basic Description: Detects which aspect is running (cheetah or hawk) and then changes to the one that is not active.

/run if Aspect of the Cheetah is true then
/cast Aspect of the Hawk
/end

/cast Aspect of the Cheetah

Not bad for a girl! (Must not be re-distributed on any other website thanks)
Please view my video below to see it working.

Druid Staff

I personally only have a Night Elf Hunter character and while in Stormwind I noticed another player shape shifted into a fiery lion. Even after several years of playing the game I have never come across this before. So after research I discovered that this player must have been successful in obtaining the “Druid Staff” from the PvP arenas to be able to do this.
Master Shapeshifter
I really love the look and general appeal of the Fire cat Druid Staff and from what I have witnessed while playing World of Warcraft – very few players seem to get this rare epic item.

Spotlight Mount: Winged Guardian

I have been away from World of Warcraft for a couple of months and after playing again I spotted some players riding fabulous lion like mounts which have flames coming from them. After inspecting the characters I came to realise that the mounts in question were called the Winged Guardian.
After further investigation I soon realised that Blizzard had recently released this purchase only mount at the Blizzard Store.
Now I would really like one of these gorgeous mounts in the future and hopefully my character will be blessed with the ownership of a Winged Guardian.
Winged Guardian
Personally I have seen no other mount like the Winged Guardian. Its head is of a lion with a fiery mane, tail and feet. Whilst having wings of a bird with a flowing and glowing aura about them leaving luscious trails of light behind them.
Winged GuardianI strongly recommend the Winged Guardian mount if you would like to stand out in a crowd and get players saying “what a lovely mount” and “where did you get it”.
I personally find the Winged Guardian mount attractive as it looks epic! And will fly at the speed that your maximum flight skill will allow. So if you increase your flying speed, the mount will automatically increase for you!

Winged Guardian Mount
Winged Guardian mount info from Blizzard Store EU:
“When you take to the skies astride a blazing, eagle-winged lion, your comrades will know you mean business.  Serious business.  So saddle up, because the Winged Guardian will travel as fast as your riding skill will take you.”
