Stacked ore nodes in Deepholme

While out gathering herbs and ores down in "Deepholme" the forge area of Deathwing, several times I came across ore locations with several different nodes stacked on top of each other.

Above is a screenshot which I took of one of the stacked ore nodes, this one contains two separate ore nodes one being Obsidium Ore, and the other Elementium Ore. However on several separate occasions I have seen up to 4 separate notes stacked on top of each other. 

It usually happens when its late at night or early in the morning, and there are few, if any other players around farming ores from Deepholme. 

The Fighting Spirit Quest Bug for hunters.

While out in Twilight highlands doing “The fighting spirit” quest. I defeated the “Mullan Gryphon Rider” no less than 4 times without receiving credit for it.

To start the quest the location of the “Mullan Gryphon Rider” which you are to defeat is behind the quest giver… I found it a little confusing as the ones fighting in the area are “friendlies”.
It appears to be a bug only for the “Hunter” class.

The way to solve this is to get the “Mullan Gryphon Rider” health down to about 30% and then dismiss your pet and finish him off yourself.

Funny: Floating skeleton

While levelling my Herbalism on the final leg of Uldum I came across a random floating skeleton of a recently deceased player.

I found this somewhat humorous and thought it would be worth a mention.

Clestial Steed Flying Bug In 4.0.1

I have been playing wow for many years and I have noticed that there is a rather amusing flying bug with the Clestial Steed Flying Mount. What it actually does is just stand there while you are flying round. I have a screenshot and a video to show the bug, I plan on adding another video showing the mount moving but still “standing” in the near future.

Celestial Size Difference

While in Dalaran I came across another player also on the Celesital Steed mount. While aligning the mounts I noticed that my mount was significantly smaller than the other players. Wierd.

Incident: Bird mount stuck in Stormwind Wall

While passing through Stormwind I came across one player who drew a particular interest to themselves… managed to get themselves and their mount stuck in the wall of a Stormwind building… some people never learn.

Blizzard WOW vs Avast Antivirus

Today I tried to access world of warcraft but alas Avast Antivirus had decided that it was a malware threat.

If you are experiencing this issue I believe that it is a false positive and should be reported to Avast.
The way to get around this is by adding Blizzard to your Exclusion List.

You can do this through avast by:

1. Right click on your avast system tray icon and select "Open avast! user interface".
2. Click on "Real time shields"
3. Click on "Expert Settings"
4. Click on "Exclusions"
5. Press the "Add" button
6. Press the "Browse" button on the blank row
7. Select the location of your Blizzard folder (eg. C:\Program Files(x86)\Blizzard\*
8. Click "Ok".

Thats all you need to do - play wow as normal.

Incidnet: Borean Tundra "Blood Pool" on land

While farming for "Arctic Fur" in the "Borean Tundra" I managed to somehow get a pool of blood to spawn on land. From past experience these "Pool of Blood" do not spawn on land only on water. There certainly was no water anywhere near where this incident occured. Worth a mention.

Un'Goro Incident

While mining in Un'Goro Crater I discovered that the Plated Stegodon MOBS do not get on with the trees in the area. I thought it was a little amusing so I posted the screen shot above.

Battle.net Down for maintenance

Its always nice to see that the £9.00 a month given by 11,000,000 (£99,000,000 a month) players goes to good use... you would think that they could at least have a back up server for when maintence is being done.

“Internal Mail Database Error” Bug in World of Warcraft

For a while now I have been experiencing an issue with World of Warcraft. My Character puts a lot of items in the auction house and if they expire its a good time to see whether or not its worthwhile to put them into the auction house again, or simply delete them.
While attempting to delete a message which contained an expired auction house item I am always presented with “Internal Mail Database Error”.
I contacted a GM on World of Warcraft about this and they told me to do the following:

1. Disable all Addons
2. Go to the login screen and click “Options”, then “Reset User Options”.

I then restarted the game and again the issue still persisted, so I replied informing that this did not work.
I was shortly contacted via /whisper by a GM who informed me that it was a fail-safe feature on the game gone wrong, and to delete three folders from my program files / blizzard game directory. For safety I saved a backup of these files on my desktop,  I did this and allowed the game to re-create the folders, and restarted the game… the problem still persisted and has not been fixed.
Hopefully they are now aware of this issue, and they might consider fixing this in their next update to the game.
