Battle.net Down for maintenance

Its always nice to see that the £9.00 a month given by 11,000,000 (£99,000,000 a month) players goes to good use... you would think that they could at least have a back up server for when maintence is being done.

Time to have a break

I just want to make a quick post. I am having a few weeks away from World of Warcraft and has let my play time expire. Due to these reasons I will not be updating my blog until I re-enable my account and begin to play World of Warcraft again. I hope you understand.

What happens next?

When I do re-enable my account I will be going through how to level up your herbalism and alchamy skills as my level 58 death knight night elf will be the next thing to level up on the game.

Possible: Blizzard Armory compromises account security?

I have been using Blizzards Armory application to manage my Auctions (which I paid £2.50 a month on top of Blizzards WOW subscription), and since using that, my WOW account got hacked... putting two and two together since that is the only other thing that I use that password for, maybe someone has figured out how to compromise the WOW Armory applications security and steal passwords? I know its not third party software, trojans or keyloggers as my machine is scanned daily. 

Anyways since downloading and installing the "Authenticator" on my iPad, my account had not been maliciously accessed by someone else. 

I dont want to pay £2.50 so that someone else can hack my account, so if I choose to re-enable my WOW account in the near future I wont be using that Blizzard Armory again.

Battle.net Breaks

Oh as an additional note before I sign off for a while while trying to access Battle.net and account management to check to see if I had been accepted for Cataclysm Beta, Battle.net decided to break. Somewhat wonderful... seems like the 11million people paying them £9.00 a month ( £99,000,000 a month) isnt enough to keep it running properly. Lol yeah thats sarchasm for you.

Cobra Hatchling Companion

Today my "Mysterious Unhatched Egg" has hatched into a "Cobra Hatchling" which is a cool looking snake type of vanity pet / companion. Personally I have played WOW for 2 years and never seen one of these so I think they are pretty and unique.

BEWARE: of bogus cataclism beta notifications

Beware of bogus Cataclysm beta notifications. While fishing in the Dalaran Underbelly for the Giant Rat I was whispered and told "Hello Blizzard Entertainment notifies you that your WOW account has been chosen to participate in Cataclysm beta test. For more information please visit: www.wowe-cataclys#####

I have censored the url so that no-one from this site goes to it as it is a fake and an attempt to steal account login details. I reported the SPAM to Blizzard and hopefully they will take further action against the account holder and put the wheels in motion to shut down the malicious website. 
If its not from Blizzard and is not on a Blizzard website or listed in your Battle.net account its a fake, don't fall for it.

Later on while heading to Orgramar, another potenial fraudulent whisper was recieved again trying to get myself to go to an external website. NEVER follow any links that are whispered to you, report them as spam otherwise if you do go to the websites chances are your account will be stolen from you and/or items and gold will be lost.

Got my mind on my money.

Another cool new achievement gained by Latura, "Got My Mind on My Money" is given when you loot a total of 1000 gold. This was gained when handing in the Dalaran Daily Fishing.

A few days of rest.

I know that I have not updated the website for a few days, I have not forgotten. I simply have not had time to play World of Warcraft due to personal issues for the past few days. Stay tuned and I will get back up and running ASAP.
